We are excited to announce that our new Mobile Alarm is now available on Indigo’s geat2GO. This means all of our personal alarms are now available on geat2GO: home-based personal alarms, Mobile Alarms (wrist and neck worn), professional and family monitoring, and handy peripherals including Keysafes.
As Umps' Referral Specialist, I put together this guide to cover our geat2GO product catalogue, their suitability for clients, and a clear comparison with other options on the platform.
Finding Umps products on geat2GO
Umps is pleased to offer a full range of personal alarms on geat2GO. You can find us by searching “Umps” — if you are able to refer personal alarms then you will see our listings. If you are looking for a complete guide on referring via geat2GO please see our guide.
We offer two options for personal alarms

- Available in black or white.
- Our product is designed to be worn comfortably either around the neck or on the wrist.
- Every order includes a free wrist band (can be converted between a lanyard or a watch strap).
- Suitable for more active seniors who want a personal alarm when they are out in the community.

Monitoring options
Both of these alarm types are paired with one of these monitoring options:
- Professional Response - alerts are answered 24/7 by trained operators in our monitoring centre.
- Family Response - alerts are sent to family members in a sequence until someone answers the call.
Clients can choose to switch between Response Plans any time, we have no lock in contracts. We have monthly or annual payment options for monitoring plans.
| Mobile Alarm | Home Alarm | |
|---|---|---|
| Family Response Plan | 1 year included then client pays | 1 month included then client pays |
| Professional Response Plan | 1 month included then client pays | 1 month included then client pays |
The Response Plans are great value and cover all monitoring, unlimited calls and SMSs, SIM card and Telstra connectivity, and phone support from Umps during business hours.
We also offer a popular and cost-effective keysafe that can be wall-mounted or attached via the latch. If you buy a keysafe and personal alarm we can preconfigure the keysafe and include the code in the emergency details.
If you would like help matching the right personal alarm with your clients needs thenplease reach out here, we’d love to help.
How we’re different
There are multiple options for Mobile Alarms on geat2GO, some of which you would be very familiar with referring. We have a separate detailed comparison between our mobile alarm and LiveLife’s watch alarm. But here, I’ve summarised the key differences between our alarm and the others on geat2GO.
If you asked me how we are better than the competition, I would say it is these three main reasons:
- Our newer mobile alarm model has the best form factor: it’s lighter, smaller, has a screen, and the alert button is less prone to accidental activations.
- Our new model has a better fall detection feature. It detects more falls, and has fewer false activations.
- We actively work to reduce technology abandonment. These don’t work if they sit in the drawer! We contact clients to ensure the alarm suits them and they know how to use it.
We've seen these three reasons come together to create more satisfied clients and fewer issues for referrers.
Reason #1: Better form factor for clients
The biggest issue with mobile alarms is that they are bulky and heavy. We frequently hear this complaint from clinicians and end users when they are switching to our product.
Mobile Alarm Pendant Comparison
The LiveLife Mobile Alarm and SureSafeGO mobile alarms (same model) and the Safe-life mobile alarm are larger, heavier, and bulkier.
| Model | Dimensions | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| LiveLife 4GX Mobile Alarm, SureSafeGO Mobile Alarm | 61mm x 42mm x 16mm (29.8% larger volume) | 42g (10.5% heavier) |
| Safe-life mobile alarm | 62mm x 47mm x 17mm (56.9% larger volume) | 52g (36.8% heavier) |
| Umps Mobile Alarm | 47mm x 42mm x 16mm | 38g |
Mobile Alarm Watch Comparison
| Model | Dimensions | Length (pin to pin) | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| SureSafe GO SOS Smartwatch | 47.5mm x 16.9mm | 57mm (10% longer across the wrist) | 49g (no strap) (29% heavier) |
| LiveLife SOS Watch | 47.5mm x 16.9mm | 57mm (10% longer across the wrist) | 49g (no strap) (29% heavier) |
| Umps Mobile Alarm Watch | 47mm x 42mm x 16mm | 52mm | 38g |
More usable with an ‘on-device’ display
The older models from LiveLife, SureSafe, and Safe-life do not have a screen. Our mobile alarm includes a screen which includes:
- the time,
- battery level,
- cellular signal, and
- date and day.
This is very helpful for clients and most importantly, it is safer: if their alarm does not have signal then they can see that themselves.

Reason #2: Better Fall Detection feature
Our Mobile Alarm includes a new generation of fall detection feature that uses additional sensors compared to older models. This is why the fall detection accuracy is higher and results in fewer false activations. Because of this we’ve found clients are more likely to wear their alarm.

Reason #3: Reduce technology abandonment
On geat2GO, we see our offering as more than just the personal alarm device. We include ‘wrap-around’ services and customer support. We see the ‘job being done’ when clients are confident and comfortable with using their alarm. We’ve worked with referrers to design our onboarding and support process to achieve this. We provide:
- Welcome Call - to set up their contacts and discuss their ordered personal alarm. It’s easier to solve any issues or changes here than before it ships out.
- Installation Support - once a device has been delivered to the client, we will call them to check in and see if they need any support with installation. We’ll also walk them through their alarm and answer any questions they have.
- 30 Day Check-In - this call happens 30 days after a client has installed their alarm. We check they are still comfortable using it, encourage them to do a test call (if they haven’t) and address any issues they are having.
